Copenhagen CPH

Visited Copenhagen last week for the Roskilde airshow, so this info is current.

There is no landside view here, the most popular option for all round spotting and photography is the Flyvgrillen, a small restaurant with a viewing mound high enough to photo over the fence and is close to the intersection of taxiways and main runways. To get there you walk out of the international terminal and turn left across the front of the domestic terminal, continue to 'Gate Gourmets' facility and turn left down that road. Keep walking straight and you will reach the grill. It's about 30-40 mins. Some of our group tried a taxi but they had refusals from some drivers as the distance is not enough from the terminals to justify loosing their place in the rank.

The other expensive option is to get an executive room at the Hilton (app £200 per night) and ask for a view over the airport. You'll miss some of the departures but get most of the arrivals so long as 22L is used (no good for photos though).

Once checked in and airside head for gate B19 there is a good view over all the action and if the gate fills up with pax you can just move to the adjacent gates until they board. A couple of us stayed a few hours here and no one bothered us.

To get to the Grill without walking you can take the bus. Bus 73 runs along Amager Landevej which the grill is on. You can take a 36 from the airport and get off on Amager Landevej, then take the 73 with destination Dragør. Just as the bus turns a sharp right, that's where the grill is.
