LOG MCO, PHL and MAN 1/12 and 2/12Good evening all, Here is a small log of what was noted down at Orlando yesterday afternoon whilst awaiting my flight to PhiladelphiaOrlando, MCO, SAT 1/12 C6-BGK B.737.200 Bahamas Air N178YV Beech-1900 Mesa ***** N233LV B.737.700 Southwest N274SK EMB-145 Delta Connection N274WN B.737.700 Southwest ***** N276AT B.737.700 AirTran N391DA B.737.800 Delta Airlines N421US B.737 US Airways N425LV B.737.700 Southwest N431WN B.737.700 Southwest N446UA A.320 United Airlines N530NK A.319 Spirit ***** N558JB A.320 JetBlue N559JB A.320 JetBlue N585NK A.321 Spirit ***** N826MJ EMB-145 Freedom Airlines ***** N827MH B.767.400 Delta Airlines N838MJ EMB-145 Freedom Airlines N845MJ EMB-145 Freedom Airlines ***** N931FR A.319 Frontier N949AT B.717 AirTran N987US DC-9 Northwest XA-GMV B.737.700 Aeromexico ***** So after bagging another 7 it was time to say bye to Orlando and head back up to Philadelphia where it all began on Thanksgiving day on the 22/11, My flight up to PHL was on N173US A.321 flight US1626 which took 2 hours 5 minutes, I landed in Philadelphia last night with half hour to make my connection onto US734 back to MAN, The following could only be read off as I hurried to the gate last night at 8.30pm Philadelphia, PHL, SAT 1/12 N101HQ EMB-170 US Airways N204UW B.757 US Airways N205UW B.757 US Airways N180US A.321 US Airways N730US A.319 US Airways N754UW A.319 US Airways I then boarded N270AY A.330 flight US734 bound for MAN at 8.45pm, This is where the fun started, We pushed back a little late at 9.18pm of gate A21 and on engine start up a problem occured, We was told the maintainence guys were going to have to look at the problem and we needed to be put back on gate, We were pushed back on to the gate at just after 9.30pm, At 10pm local time we were told problem was with the slide stick and it needed to be changed and the main computer system operating it would need to be re-installed, We were advised this would take no longer than 1 hour, After watching the US Airways maintainence staff coming and going we had another annoucment at 10.45pm saying the part to which had been fitted was also faulty and the aircraft wasn't recognising the new installment of the slide stick, We were told a further half hour would be needed, Just after Midnight our Captain spoke to us again saying they was still trying to get the aicrafts onboard systems to recognise the new part and it was going to take a little longer to fix, By this time I had already been sat onborad 3 hours, at 1am another annoucement was made to suggest the cabin crew do the meal service on the ground as we had been on the aircraft now 4 hours on the gate whilst the problem was trying to be fixed, With that the cabin crew did the meal service and announced that their was going to be no charge for the Alcohol drinks, Great !!!! By the time we had all finished and the cabin crew had been round and cleared the trays etc it was gone 2am, By now I had been sat on N270AY for over 5 hours and still hadn't got anywhere, Just before 3am our Captain announced the part had been fitted and they were carrying out checks on it as they didn't want to risk anything especially with the flight being '' Oceananic '' , at 3.25am another annoucment was made to adivise the new slide stick and computer they installed was working and we would be under way as soon as they re-done the paper work, 3.45am we pushed back and we finaly got airborne of 27L at 3.55am, The only good news to come out of all this was the flight home was only 5 hours and 53 minutes which saw me landing at Manchester this afternoon at 2.55pm, Just over 6 hours late, Here is what was noted from the aircraft as I taxiied in Manchester SUN 2/12 A6-EBP B.777.300ER Emirates AP-BHV B.777.300ER PIA B-KAE B.747.400F Dragonair Cargo D-ACRJ CRJ Lufthansa G-FBEF EMB-195 FlyBe G-OZBG A.321 Monarch Airlines G-OZBM A.321 Monarch Airlines G-SMTJ A.321 My Travel LZ-BOW B.737 Bulgaria Air N270AY A.330 US Airways And that brought an eventful end to my trip, I hope you all enjoyed my daily logs from St Maarten, and Orlando aswell as Philadelphia and Charlotte and also the photos, Its now time to catch up on what's been missed whilst away !!!!!
